Oscar Newman

Born: 1971

Occupation: Science Teacher, Teacher in Residence for the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum 2004-2005

Mini golf experience: Oscar was well-known in the Chicagoland Mini-Golf Circuit in the mid 1980s, but has not played the sport in 10 years.

Interesting facts: Oscar is a world traveller. He will travel from El Salvador to Chicago via California to attend the MC Mini Masters Tournament. On his trips, Oscar likes to take a sketchbook instead of a camera. He is a harmonica student of Skip Landt and is now able to make subway fare internationally when he is broke. He also knows a lot of songs about bums and hobos.

Guess the interesting lie (the rest are true)

1. Oscar travelled with the Dalai Lama's representative in Mongolia.

2. Oscar once challenged his father to a chili pepper eating contest.

3. Oscar was Scoutmaster of a Boy Scout troop for 5 years.
