Mini golf experience: Competed in 2002-2005 MC Mini Masters; proudly holds the remarkable record of being recognized TWICE for achieving the most 3s, any one round (13, Libertyville, in 2003); with son Matt has* visited numerous courses in the Midwest, taking after-rainfall soundings on the holes and pondering ways of measuring slosh in the greens.

Interesting facts: Matthew Cullen, my biographer, has written, "Known for his acorn pies, Skip likes to drag* his feet through muddy waters. He is great at cow-pie throwing and likes to run down hills while wearing a tux. He owns many hotplates and will often use cherry stems to weld his hair together. Skip likes rocks. Yea, rocks, yea!" [*A derivative of the word fragment "dra", nicely rounded off with a terminal "g" for full effect and comprehensibility, as is often found in the English language. An excellent example! - sl]

I was especially proud to be the object of such comments in Cullen's celebrated 2003 biography, which, unfortunately, is quoted above in its entirety. If I may add a final word, however, and if the editor will permit it to appear in print on the website, then "irredentist."

2012: At age 77, became the oldest player to complete a Mini Masters, and just missed finishing in the top half of the Putterz Division, placing a stroke behind daughter Ginny...Tied for most 4s at Sisolak's West (4)...Tied for most bogeys at Aloha Falls (11), tying an all-time MCMM record for most bogeys in any one round at any course...Was one of ten players with no quadruple bogeys all day...Tied or established career highs in twos (46), fours (21), fives (7), double bogeys (12), and triple bogeys (5).

2011: Withdrew after the third round, his only under-par round of the day.

2005: Scored the most fours at Libertyville (8)...Was one of four players with only one hole-in-one all day...Was one of seven amateur players with an eagle at Libertyville...Posted a career high in bogeys (32).
